Hops
Picked my hops too. About a gallon of flowers. Enough to make about 20 gallons of beer.
Can't wait until they are dry enough to start brewing.

Ten minutes of tree shaking
These are paw paws- North America's largest native fruit. They taste like bananas with a mango tang and a custard-like consistency. Delicious.

Progging
Progging is an Eastern shore term for walking along the Bay looking for interesting things. It's the best term I know for what we were doing yesterday.
My friend Mark and his daughter joined us for a post-work kayak trip. We loaded the canoe and two kayaks, paddles, fishing stuff, and food into the truck, drove down the hill and launched- only to hear the rumble of thunder. Shortest paddle ever! We loaded the truck back up, and instead went berry picking and progging along the river while we waited for the rain that never came. It was a lot of fun catching crayfish and skipping rocks.

Catching frogs.
"Daddy we can put these frogs in the fish tank. That would be a good idea."
